NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The day dawned bright and clear, excellent conditions for the Cougar cross country teams to race at the first ever Running of the Cows Invitational, hosted by Carleton College. It was a new venue and allowed runners to preview a course that will be used for the central region championship in coming years. Both courses featured rolling landscapes with a mix of well-manicured grass and gravel pathways.
